Music City Happenings: Whiskey Sipping Ladies
Posted: May 31, 2013 Filed under: Music City, Drinks & Cocktails | Tags: Nashville events, cocktails, Cabana, women like whiskey too, Collier and Mckeel whiskey, Tennessee whiskey Leave a comment »I am truly excited about this upcoming event in Nashville. I am a lover of whiskey. I crave Jack Daniels and love Corsair. I can’t wait to gather with my girlfriends at this upcoming event. Women Like Whiskey Too is an awesome concept! Men are in awe when I order a Jack at the bar.
Interested in attending? Here are more details.
On Thursday, June 13, Collier and McKeel Handcrafted Tennessee Whiskey will sponsor the first-ever “Women Like Whiskey Too” event, one that will celebrate the industry’s new tastemakers through a spirit tasting and a cocktail demonstration at Cabana, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This will be a casual sip-and-learn event that encourages both the social and the sophisticated aspects of whiskey drinking. ‘Women Like Whiskey Too’ is about promoting a community that understands men aren’t the only ones who enjoy a little slow sipping.
The cost is $10 at the door. Find your cutest summer cocktail dress and join me at Cabana!

Craft Brewed: awesome beers to-go
Posted: May 7, 2013 Filed under: Drinks & Cocktails | Tags: 8th avenue, craft beer, Craft brewed, high gravity beer, Nashville, Nashville beer society, Nashville craft beers Leave a comment »Nashville is slowly becoming a great city for good craft beers. Not only are you able to find a diverse amount of draft craft beers on tap at our local Flying Saucer and Yazoo, but you can also take your favorite craft beers home with you. Hopefully, it will be cheaper, since the beer tax bill was passed a few weeks ago.
A newcomer to the craft beer scene is Craft Brewed

Now, I haven’t had the chance to attend yet due to scheduling conflicts, but I hear good things about it.
Are you planning to attend? Which restaurants are you looking forward to sampling?
What excites me?? Etch, Holland House, Cabana, 1808 Grille, Jack Daniels, Corsair Artisan, Arrington Vineyards, Etch, and Yazoo. There are over 50 restaurants and beverage companies offering samples.
Enjoy!

I was blessed enough to not have to stand in long lines for beer and I was under a shaded tent until the sun went town. I learned how to barter beer for food with the other vendors. I tried the wonderful magic which is Jennie’s ice cream. I tried their Yazoo Sue and their mix on strawberry ice cream.
