First Look: The Southern Steak and Oyster

Have you tried the new swanky downtown restaurant called The Southern Steak & Oyster? It is located in the Pinnacle building. I tried out the restaurant during CMA Fest week. They are known for their oysters, so that is what I decided to try on my visit.
The oysters were pretty tasty. I did have to pratically beg the bartender to remember that I needed hot sauce to go with them. They were very busy when I visited the place.
The bartender was very helpful in suggesting a cocktail for me to try. I was extremely pleased!
The one thing that the bartender didn’t inform me is that they have a happy hour. Which sucks because I probably paid way more than I should have. Now, would I go back again? Yes, I want to actually try out the happy hour and the hot chicken salad. They are supposed to have $1.00 oysters during happy hour.
Hmmm, breakfast downtown…. not sure about that. I may be willing to try it if I have friends in town for a football game.
